Exile SCT are back with yet another single, this one is title Serpent and features Nathan of GHC heavy hitters, Lights Out.
Much like Berserker a few months ago, Serpent keeps combining various elements of metal and hardcore throughout history. I really like their little death metal bit in here and the bridge section before the side to side section and d-beat breakdown. Nathan's verse also slaps and I like the increased production, the ambient guitars in the background n that. While "fully possible live" is generally the norm for hardcore, little things like these aren't ever not welcome in studio recordings. Big up Exile, big up Scottish Metallic Hardcore in general, we're in good hands.
